I was so impressed by this aquarium! There were so many different exhibits and I'm not going to lie, the websites undersell the aquarium by a long shot. They have a variety of salt water and fresh water exhibits, organized by region including otters and sharks. It wasn't too overwhelming as to bore a 3 year old but just enough to keep her attention. She didn't want to leave! We ended up staying for about 2 hours, and it is very close to the beach making for a full day.
All staff was extremely friendly, and helpful.
This is a great aquarium with plenty of different attractions! They have a great outdoor playground space with a rope bridge and massive slide that my preschoolers loved. They include some outdoor walking spaces out into the water which makes for beautiful sight seeing as well. We went right when they opened on a weekday and were one of the few families there for the first hour.
This is a great place to bring your kids for a cool, educational and air conditioned break from hot sand, or surf shop hopping.
Great aquarium with lots of things to do. The fee to get in is very cheap at $11 for adults, you get what you pay for! They have fish, mammals and reptiles in the aquarium with big, clean exhibits. They. Have lots of hand-on exhibits as well like touching the stingrays and horseshoe crabs. Outside, they have a small boardwalk that goes to the marsh as well as walking trails through the woods. They have a small playground for the kids as well.
It's a great aquarium. The hidden gem aquarium near Emerald Isle. This place is great. It's clean, interesting, lots of creatures as well as some interactive aspects. The large aquarium with the sharks was easily our favorite. Some benches and chairs provide a nice spot to sit and rest your weary legs and watch the beauty of the sea-life.
Staff were great, small but very well designed attractions. Liked the hands on opportunities. The playground is designed for older kids but my toddler still had fun. Ice cream at the end was a perfect touch. Our photos turned out nicely and I like that they include the ability to email you them all to print later. Wonderful visit, especially for the great price!
